<p>작년 금감원은 소액결제 현금화 등 불법금융광고를 방송통신심의위원회에 요청해 사이트 폐쇄와 게시글 삭제, 계정 중지 등을 확정했지만 ‘언론 보도에는 대응하지 않았다. 금감원 직원은 “언론의 보도는 홍보로 규정할 수는 없어 보여서 판단관리하기 힘든 면이 있을 것입니다”고 했었다.</p>
<p>신세계인터내셔널 직원은 “휴대폰 소액결제는 신용카드 결제와 유사한 구조이기 덕분에 당사자가 계좌로 이체가 된다”고 전했다. LF몰 관계자 역시 “핸드폰 소액 결제는 다날, ISP/페이북 등으로 이미 결제가 된 부분이기 때문에 현금으로 당장 지급하고 있습니다”고 이야기했었다.</p>
<p>신용카드로 머지포인트를 구매한 일부 구매자들은 이용처에서 이용이 중단됐는데도 할부자금이 계속적으로 빠져나가고 있을 것입니다고 토로하였다. 더욱이 결제 자금이 80만 원을 넘지 않는 소액이거나 일시불로 결제해 항변권을 행사하지 못해 고통받고 있는 상태이다.</p>
